The Canes today reassigned defenseman Bryan Rodney to Albany (AHL). Rodney was recalled Dec. 15 from the River Rats and had three assists in three games, including wins over Dallas and Florida. He now has five assists in 10 NHL games with the Canes this season. Defensemen Tim Gleason and Niclas Wallin have been sidelined with concussion-type symptoms. Canes coach Paul Maurice said Gleason, who has missed the last three games, could return for Monday's game against the New York Rangers.
